Panama Women at the Top

This week I had the personal pleasure of attending the Consejo Nacional de Empresarias (Conade) to share in the recognition of 7 women considered Panamas best, Mujeres en la Cima, Women at the top. The seven were selected from a group of 40 candidates and represented a variety of professions and interests.
Helene Breebaart, originally from France, was recognized for her implementation of the incredible works of the kunas in her fashion creations. Olga Sinclair received the award for Culture in recogniton of her work with children in promotion art. Magaly Mendez received the award for Excelencia Empersarial in recognition of her successful publications. The award for 50 years of Lidership in Business was presented to professora Nivia Echeverria for five decades as an educator and one of the founders of national television in 1960.Profesora Inga de Collins was recognized for her work in promoting tourism in Chiriqui. Dra. Ivonne deMartinelli received the award for Social responsibility and her 19 yeard working ad-honorem en the Hospital del Nino. And for Perserverance, Margarita Mosquera was recognized for her incredible achievements. She was responsible for the operations of the Mercado del Marisco as well as raising and educating four children.
These women represent Panama’s best and they were honored by the Conade and the hundreds of friends and family in attendance at the Miramar Hotel, September 19, 2007.
